This 'Outstanding' Ofsted rated secondary school found within South Birmingham are looking to appoint an English graduate with a 2:1 degree or higher in either English Language or Literature, who also possess an excellent academic background at both GCSE and A-Level to join their wonderful and dedicated team of staff on a full time basis from September 2013, for the duration of the academic year in the role of an English graduate teaching assistant.

The successful English graduate teaching assistant will need to have sound subject knowledge, be an excellent communicator and be assured in your ability to translate your specialist English knowledge across to young minds.

The role of an English graduate teaching assistant is to provide support in a one-to-one capacity and in small groups of pupils across Key Stages three, four and five. You will be working with mixed ability pupils helping to raise grades in a department which was recently deemed excellent by Ofsted 2012.

As the successful English graduate teaching assistant you will enjoy excellent support and guidance from all those you work with, providing you with first rate knowledge and understanding of the day to day running of a school which will ultimately help you when applying for your teacher training course next year before becoming a successful English teacher.
