SEN Learning Support Assistant – Primary EBD Student – Hackney, East London – September 2013

***Long term post starting September - £60-80 per day dependant on experience

From September this well run Primary school located in the East London borough of Hackney (only 10 mins from Liverpool St) is looking to a LSA who has experience of working with SEN students or alternatively a Psychology degree holder with a passion for SEN.

This male student will be in Year 4 from September and has emotional behavioural difficulties that make it hard for him to stay focused during lessons. Never violent his character is warm and personable and when focused can make excellent progression during lessons. Last year he made strong progress in all areas thanks to the excellent support he received from his LSA whom he developed a strong bond with.

To be successful in this post you will need to have some understanding of the complexities of EBD. You will need to be calm and patient never showing frustration or anger towards the students who is able to pick up on slight changes in temperament. You will need to encourage and engage finding ways that inspire the student to work.
